Mini Ramp Skateboarding Photos

A mini ramp is a type of halfpipe that is no more than 6 feet in height, so is a little limited in the types of tricks that can be performed from them. Mini ramps can range from 2 feet on up to 6 feet, and are designed with the beginner boarder in mind, although a few are made with a more aggressive profile for more advanced riders to practice on. Some types even have extensions and hips available, if a higher ramp is desired.

In general these are designed with lip tricks in mind, as one must ollie in order to avoid going over the lip and to maintain alignment with the vertical surface, for landing during air tricks. For these reasons among others, public skate and snowboard parks tend to use these type of ramps, and if an event requires a taller ramp, as mentioned above, hips, and extensions can be added.
